    E2C Hawkeyes @ FRG!!!

2 Grumman E2C Hawkeye's have landed at FRG @ 0830 this morning (Tuesday the 29th). Of course, the wife needed the camera today so I do not have pictures, but if anyone is in the area.....

They are parked at the Main Terminal

    s/n 165304 - AC5304 from the USS Harry S Truman
    s/n 165302 - AC5302 from the USS Harry S Truman

Somebody....Moose, Mirrodie, please tell me you have a camera and are close by.

Right next to 56th Fighter Group restaurant.

main entrance to airport off 110, that road puts you right into the parking lot you need to be by.

Just after reading this post, someone stopped in my office to tell me she saw two "little airplanes with big domes on top" this morning. I said "I know, get out of my way, I'm heading there now!"

Got a bunch of pictures, will process & upload some shortly. Just as I was leaving, I saw Shoshona (Mario's better half) pulling up, so I stopped and hung out while she shot some pix for Mario. She didn't seem that pissed to me, Mario...

She looked like she knew what to do, and I gave her a couple of pointers about shooting through the fence, but she was glad that I was there shooting and posting, just in case.

Great shots Moose! For years when I lived in Hicksville, those birds woke me up every morning taking off from the Grumman plant in Bethpage. It was a treat to see them this morning. Thanks for grabbing some great shots!

I tried to get some pictures around 4:00, but it was just a little too dark and there were a bunch of people standing around the planes. When I spoke to the bus drivers in front of the terminal, they told me the people were Grumman employees. I guess they were getting to see something they designed or worked on.
