I've caught her on 6 different occasions, so I don't really jump for joy at the sight of her. Pink Delta, on the other hand...

It's pretty easy to *see* Pink Delta if you spend enough time at JFK. Getting a picture, on the other hand...

It was a great day. Sad to see so few spotters came out. Kenny, i'm glad you got some nice stuff at Hobe. The AI is a great catch! Lijk, that Thai shot is great!
Also, at firestone, I saw a spotter in a red SUV, during the time of the Virgin A346, Air China 747, and Swiss 330, lijk604, was that you?
Anyway, here are my shots, Firestone>HoBe>Firestone:

i cant get hobe shots right. they always come out, unsharp, or out of focus. can anybody help; offer advice?
    unedited:

    back to firestone:

finally caught my blue whale, after it manged to to be obstructed at AMS, shuffled at EWR, as dark clouds blocked it at JFK and YUL, and as the YUL flight was cancel, after i came to late one day, after again bad wx at JFK, and after i saw it fly over my house almost every day departing EWR, i finally caught it!

    and another interesting story:
Caring the polish Prime minister Donald Tusk. Incidentally, this plane had a bomb threat. I think i saw it going to the firemans training area while driving on rockaway bulv.

Yeah that was me in the red SUV, I left after the LH A346 came in. Sorry I brain-farted on your name.
Another interesting note, the VS A346 declared a medical emergency (person going into diabetic shock) about 5 mins out and were given priority for arrival, yet, the crew elected to stay on the ILS for 31R. Where does VS park? I thought 31L would be quicker to the gate for them.

That's wild. Were the wings taking out street lights? I hope there were marshallers or something.

Ok, the NCA was taken at 400mm. Shots will go a little soft at around 350mm so you'll have to lay on some more USM. Was the IS on? Also, I never shoot in full auto. There may be some trial and error shots (that's why I'll shoot American Eagles lol), but you'll have much more control over your camera. I shoot in the Nikon equivalent of Av at f10 with ISO200. Give it a go and see what happens. Hope it helps. Great shots btw, Mat. Glad you finally caught the KLM MD-11.
