From my office at RXR Plaza, just watched two Twin Rotor Sea Knights and two Pres White Tops land at Hofstra next to the football field. Too cool!

My wife texts me that she saw 5 Chinooks (she needs a helo spotter guide LOL) flying low level along the LIE between Rt 110 and Rt 135 this morning. She was a little worried somerthing was going on but i reassured her what it was all about and NOT "Red Dawn 3" .

You guys should thank me. If I went, we would have hit major traffic and never made it. Heck, I only left JFK an hour later, and moved a whole mile on the Belt in the first 20 minutes, thanks to a car broken down in the left lane.

I can never get photos to post? I will get it BUT I was shooting an East Rockaway JV football game and this C-17 Globemaster III was flying out of JFK early on 10-13-12.
Not a great picture but it was nice to see.
