    Air Force Week 2012

There will be no air show, but the Thunderbirds (F16D Falcons) will do a fly-over Yankee Stadium and over the Hudson River as well as fly-over CitiField. An F-22 Raptor will fly-over Coney Island on Aug. 21 and there will be several concerts around town.

They flew the Hudson today I believe.

I was at JFK all day today & they didn't come in so I'm assuming they're not based out of there.

Still no word on where they're flying out of?

Perhaps Mcguire? I think ACY is too far for them.

BTW, the Blues flew a lot lower. Just saying

Basically they are telling you to avoid the Hudson corridor between 12:30pm through 2:30pm
No TFR was listed, but there was this NOTAM issued:

JFK 08/136 JFK AIRSPACE DMSTN HIGH SPEED ACFT 1000-1300 AGL .5 NM EITHER SIDE OF A LINE FM JFK275012 TO JFK340015/HUDSON RIVER EXCLUSION AVOIDANCE ADZD WEF 1208191630-1208191830

Basically they are telling you to avoid the Hudson corridor between 12:30pm through 2:30pm...and this is today's NOTAM. So I guess they will be flying it again.

The first part is doubtful, the second part was because they were already headed to FRG for the air show...

I was in New Rochelle, not expecting to see anything, just out for a lazy Sunday park stroll. All of a sudden 6 F-16s blew past and over long island sound, presumably going to shoot back down the East River. Made my day. I of course did not have a camera with me. That did NOT make my day.

William, I wish. So I took my 200-400mm f/4, the 70-200mm f/2.8 + TC17, Nikon D3 and D800... no pods, mono or tri... only to find out the Batteries AND the Scanner to be all nice and comfy at home I keep spare cards in my camera bags at all times as well as a hardened case with 8 cards in my car's glove compartment. Lesson: NOW I HAVE TO also keep spare batteries in my car? LOL. Seriously, for my D3 I have a set of three batteries and one stays on the camera in the bag at all times fully charged. The third battery is old and has been retired to emergency use only. The D800, I still have to score a spare

All this video was shot on my iPhone handheld while walking and talking LOL. Also listening to LiveATC at the same time ... If only the iPhone had a better lens
