Nice pics, Mark! How long did they give you guys in the cabin? Media got all of 15 minutes, and they gave us a 4 minutes remaining announcement 11 minutes in. Between waiting for people to move and video crews doing interviews at the worst possible spots, I barely got any pics in there

regardless...I'd be willing to bet HIS gear lowered just being able to sit up there. I know mine would.

Great photos, Mark! I was disappointed I had to miss out on the festivities since I am out of town but seeing your photos has made up for it a bit. :)

I hope it was a great experience. The deputy airport manager at Dulles who is in charge of these events really tries hard to please the enthusiasts.

It was definitely more than a great experience. Dennis went above and beyond, and I intend to write him a thank-you email. As the media were on the plane, he said "I will make sure you guys get on the plane; you all deserve it."

Also, Cary, I boarded the plane with the second-to-last group and left with the last, so I spent about 20-something minutes aboard. The best part was that it got relatively empty between the two groups, and I was able to snap off a couple shots that didn't have people crowding around.

Lucky :) With the media, there wasn't any sticking around to leave with another group...it was "you guys need to get off the plane so the next group can board".

Hello from Addis! So glad someone got a shot of me, thanks. And yes, it was pretty much totally nuts. I was hoping to tack a few pics on but Internet isn't cooperating.
