    Sooo many choices!!!

1- Lockheed SR-71 "Blackbird - No explanations needed
    2- P-51 Mustang - History
    3- F-22 Raptor - Superiority
4- Any Sukhoi or Mikoyan - They can fly with sand in the engines :-)
5- Airbus A380 - They were first and it is gracefully executed. (full double decker)
6- Boeing 747-400 - Love the extended hump
7- Grumman F-14D Tomcat - History, Performance, Raw
    8- B-2 Spirit - Daring
9- North American Aviation XB-70 Valkyrie - Wow, just Wow! Mach 3.1!
10- Bell X-1 - It broke the barrier, it has to be on the list ;-)

There was a lot of debate on 6-10 because the choices are endless... I mean a C-47 Skytrain really gets my juices flowing...

    Left out and really exciting

    Lockheed Constellation
    Lockheed L-1011 Tristar
    de Haviland Comet
    Concorde/Tu-144
    etc. etc. etc. :-)

Wait, I was only supposed to post 5 :-(

OK, sorry... and I left out the P-38 Lightning.

I think Lockheed needs its own category. The most exciting aircraft are typically from Lockheed!

it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
