    AP Story: http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/art ... AD9A0V3U00

Continental gets AirTran's 10 slots at Newark.
AirTran gets 4 slots at LGA and 6 at DCA from, which they do not currently serve.
    No money will change hands.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

My bad, I misread the article. (For no apparent reason the third paragraph is about Southwest, which would gain entry to DCA if their bid for Frontier goes through.)

Okay. I see. So would Southwest and Frontier merge?

Your question has nothing to do with the topic? What does Southwest taking over Frontier have to do with AirTran pulling out of EWR?

I wondered that when I read the AP article that I linked above. :)
