Nice helo....

Here is the French Missile Tracker as it arrived in New York Harbor last week....

Probably the most interesting maritime visitor so far this year.... We get USA-NAVY Bataan on Wednesday... A good run on Military vessels this year... South Korean Navy, Italian & Netherlands Submarines, Canadian Refueler and the list goes on....

I was told at work today that until Tuesday(Veteran's Day) there will be a good amount of military helo's flying up and down the river for the re-opening of the Intrepid and Veteran's day. Today there was a flight of 2 Seahawks doing numerous flights up and down the river and then going back and forth to a ship off the coast.

Pretty cool. I wonder if they were in contact with EWR/LGA ATC or even self-announcing on the Hudson River freq?
>they were talking to us at EWR
<

Cool. thanks. I always wondered if foreign military helos buzzing around the Harbor and Manhattan kept in radio contact. It
makes sense since that area can be pretty busy with helo traffic.
