Supermodel Naomi Campbell was arrested at London Heathrow Airport's troubled new Terminal 5 Thursday night after throwing a tantrum about a lost bag. Authorities say Campbell, who has a long history of violent assaults, checked two bags for a British Airways flight to LAX, but was told once on board that one of the bags had been lost, likely part of the facility's ongoing battle with its faulty baggage system. Campbell proceeded to verbally and physically threaten BA crewmembers, who were forced to call police to have her removed from the aircraft. She is alleged to have spat on one of the responding cops during her removal, for which she was arrested, and released on bail early Friday morning. BA is considering banning Campbell from future flights indefinitely.

UPDATE: British supermodel Naomi Campbell has been charged with a string of offences after allegedly assaulting a police officer at London's Heathrow airport, her lawyer said Thursday... She is charged with five offences -- three counts of assaulting a constable, one of disorderly conduct likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress and one of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour to cabin crew.
