    Great Moments in Sports Announcing

When big thigns happen in sports, I always love the classic lines from sports announcers that make it that much more powerful.

One of my favorite was years ago with Buffalo Sabres' Brad May scored the OT goal against the Boston Bruins.

    If that doesn't work: bMgM8BAJarQ

Other favs of mine are "Hayes waits......the Yankees are champions of baseball!!" from the 1996 World Series.

What are some of your favorites? Psot clips or videos if you can find them.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.

Yeah I was looking for that one, it looks like MLB forced YouTube to take tons of clips down. :x

Also looking for Kirk Gibson's gimpy walk-off homer in game 1 of the '88 World Series. MLB.com has the TV call by Vin Scully which is boring, but I remember hearing the radio call, I think by Jack Buck, which was a lot better.

Anyway...here's Endy Chavez's catch from Game 7 of the NLCS, called by the best in the business, Gary Cohen: Epa4a_Iy7r4

MLB's Bob Murphy tribute page has the video clip. Here is the page:
    http://newyork.mets.mlb.com/mlb/news/tr ... murphy.jsp

Scroll down to the box "Classic Calls" - they have a number of Murph's best there. They have both audio only, as well as video, of the Buckner play.
