The first 400 N406US was in LGA Monday 2-27 but no good shots where possible due the poor light but most of you will be happy, she was real pretty !
As part of the merging of N Numbers between HP and US someone decided all ETOPS aircraft would be 200 series hence the 330's 767's, and the 7 soon to be ETOPS rated 757's got those numbers. One thing I do like though is every ship number (3 digit) at Mainline is the same as the N number of reg. As both an employee and airline enthusiast this makes things much simpler. I could never understand an airline with as few planes as AirTran has ship numbers that do not match the registration. And don't even get me started on AA's ship number system. UA and NW both have 4 digit ship numbers, with well under a 1000 aircraft in their fleets not sure why it is necessary but I am sure it is for a revelent reason.
Cheers
