Saw this depart both Thursday and today and both times saw to late for a photo. Flightaware shows it as a DC-9-30 and did not get a good look today but what I saw Thursday was definitely a passenger -30. I searched both a.net and jp and they have 30F's and -15's that are both passenger and freighter versions but no -30 passenger versions so this may be a new addition to the USA Jet fleet ?
Cheers

My mistake! I don't think this one was the -15.

We had a USA JET DC-9-10 fly into MWA. That was wicked but it was done at night, we couldn't see the plane fi we tried.

i saw it!! finally didn't miss one when i was at work...
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
the fleet is based at KYIP ,Willow Run , Mi.,about 8 miles from DTW, great airport on any given day you can see a B-17,C-47,and B-25 (Yankee Air Force), in the pattern, along with a classic stretch DC-8 ,(Murray Air), a P-51 (Jack Roush), and a motley assortment of freighters, everything from an ATL-98 Carvair, to the Convair on steroids 5800. Back in '99 I saw my last freight dog 707,a TAROM 320C,in from Frankfurt, with a load of auto parts.
The beehive hummm of the JT9D and GE CF680C2,the thunder of the JT8D-17,the rumble of the PW1830 and the high ,thin whine of the PW 545A are all music to my ears!
