View Full Version : Why did EWR get rid of its helipad?

Sometime within the last few years, Newark seems to have removed the helipad (the only one it had?) that was west of terminal C.

Maybe they are using the HeliFlite facility as the EWR helipad now.

Was this the helipad that was being used for the US Helicopter service? If so, then it was probably carved out of standard ramp space by CO and now that there's no use for it anymore, it reverts back to off-stand parking. There is still a charted helipad on the taxiway that leads into Signature.
