You guys at FRG remember those two express.net horse carriers. Well looks like both are gone as an anetter spotted what is left of N704A sitting in a junkyard in Kingman.

I had a great day at IGM but it sure was depressing to see those two tristars and the 72s gone.

That was about the only all-cargo jet flying to Miami Opa-Locka for a time. Shame they never applied any livery to it.

727s are getting chopped everywhere all the time, Express.net has been out of biz for years, this is an old -100. What's so special/surprising?

I have spent many nights on the ramp with this aircraft and it holds a special place in my heart.

Here is a shot I took of it with some horses being loaded into it

My first camera was not a DSLR, it was similar to what Kenny is now using

I love this shot

I was next to the runway when her tire blew....And you thought a 727 was loud!

Was there any horses on it when it crashed?

It did not crash, it was broken up

Oh, I must have misread the thread.

Also that's a very good night shot considering you were using a camera similar to mine.

Well that airframe spent a lot of time at FRG and many of us up here in NY used to see her.

Back to the topic, I saw those horse planes only once, but I know how great it was for the FRG folks. Aren't the Belmont Stakes this weekend?
