Though always a sanctuary for planespotters, LAX saw a dramatic influx of enthusiasts lining fences and filling the grassy areas surrounding the airport recently. NYCAviation was fortunate enough to be invited to join in the planning and promotion of PHXSpotters.com‘s annual spotting adventure, and this year’s journey was to Los Angeles.

Over 100 enthusiasts, many of whom flew in from other cities, joined us to celebrate a full weekend of spotting from October 18th to October 20th, enjoying the gorgeous weather and warm temperatures that make LAX one of the premiere spotting cities in the country.

Aside from having an amazing time and strong turnout, we would like to offer a big thanks to our friends at PHXSpotters.com. Another big shipment of gratitude goes to Singapore Airlines, who hosted our Kickoff Party that Friday night at Proud bird, offering our group hours of drinks and food.

Below is a gallery of only 60 photos that have been submitted to NYCAviation via the message boards from the trip. We hope you enjoy. (if you want to see them all, you can click on the first image and quick-scroll using your arrow keys)
