NYCAviation visited gorgeous San Francisco this past weekend for the Fleet Week 2010 Airshow. Thousands of spectators hit the beaches, piers, and hills of the city to catch a glimpse of some of the best aerial action around. And the performers didn’t disappoint: Sean Tucker and John Klatt dazzled the crowds with their mind bending aerobatics. Rescue demos by Navy Blackhawks and US Coast Guard Dolphins gave a glimpse into the daily risks that our men and women in uniform face every time they punch in. The Patriots with their sleek L39’s impressed with their precision and grace. The F/A-18 Superbug made his presence known, especially on Sunday when, for better or worse, he blew past the sound barrier with a deafening and unmistakable BOOM! And of course our Blue Angels never disappoint; the show’s headliners, they electrified the crowd with their high octane maneuvers.

But the show from the ground was only half the fun: NYCAviation was allowed access to some of the best seats in the house aboard Fat Albert Airlines. (We had so many photos we built a separate Blue Angels Photo Gallery.)
