Haha was I the only one who has sun burn on the back of my legs from standing on the mounds?
But I can't complain about today, the weather was perfect
Great seeing everyone today - the beautiful weather got a big crowd out.
My first Skyteam shot.
I've caught the QANTAS One World, but another first for me...
Some of the group braved the weeds and ticks to go up on the mounds - this is the only shot of Kenny I can publish on this site
But Eric found a more relaxing place to shoot from :D

Too bad we didn't get to enjoy all of it. Tower did a 180 runway flip as soon as about half the group (including myself) showed up at Firestone, going from the 31s to 13/22. We eventually went over to the Mounds, until they decided to go to just the 13s, despite the 14 knot direct crosswind.Originally Posted by MarkLawrence
Still, it was good to be out again and to see everyone, and even if we missed a bunch of stuff we did still manage to catch Star Alliance, Skyteam, and OneWorld birds.

It was really great to meet you guys. I hope to join you guys again soon.
Nathan.
Great shots and great get-together. Feels like UN weekend already!
Hell why bother posting my shots....everyone covered the good stuff already. LOL!!! Actually, I'm just lazy and have not edited them yet. Got home way too sunburnt, so last thing I wanted was to sit in front of the computer all night. In due time...
All in all, it was a good day...would have been great if we could have figured out why the tower was hell bent on using the 13's with the winds blowing 210@14. But...I guess they needed some crosswind action for their tower shooters. ;) It was good seeing the old faces and meeting some new ones. Til next time.
Now I'm curious. :lol:this is the only shot of Kenny I can publish on this site
Think "full moon" over the mounds. :lol:Originally Posted by flyboy 28

Since 31s & 22s are covered, here are some 13s departures:
and of course another fun spotting day.
Till next time.
Good stuff, guys. Glad so many got to capitalize on the great weather.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
