Considering I did the W&B on them for the time they were at JFK, I can attest that they were there.Originally Posted by Delta777LR
Schedule was 2200 arrival from ORD / 0100 departure to ANC where it connected with the freighter from LAX.
The JFK freighter went ORD-JFK-ANC-NRT
The LAX freighter went LAX-ANC-PEK-PVG
There was enough "cross-traffic" to make the ANC stop work as a "hub" even though there were only 4 flights (2 each way).
Emirates SkyCargo B744. Ohhh whee that's a sexy plane!
If I get word the EK or Polar 744 is headed this way , you guys will definitely hear about it

And I, I took the path less traveled by

I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

Seaboard World !
The beehive hummm of the JT9D and GE CF680C2,the thunder of the JT8D-17,the rumble of the PW1830 and the high ,thin whine of the PW 545A are all music to my ears!
I used to watch the Pan Am Cargo 747s blast off in the wee hours when I was but a teen, the blue ball illuminated by the tail recognition lights, the beehive hummmmmof the JT9Ds spooling, and the beacons, and strobes snapping, as they merged with the night, heading to the far east, africa, all over the globe.when I was a kid,it was ALL about Pan AM !

I used to love watching:
Stretch DC-8s and 747's -Flying Tiger, Seaboard World, Trans International
C-130's -Trans International and Southern
Caravelles- Airborne Express
I also remember being around New Hyde Park in the early 70's and watching a CL-44 whistle by on the way to 22L.
But the greatest was parking just by the triple hangers with a great view of 31L (I used to sit ther for hours watching arrivals and departures). A couple of times there was a green 707 with a yellow tail that belonged to TMA airlines of Beiruit which was being loaded with cargo. I'm sure there are pictures on A-net
