JFK review 12/1/07

Hey Chris-

re: N3744F, I've seen her twice now at JFK and not been able to get a decent shot of her. I saw her driving out of JFK two Sundays ago on the JFK Expy and she flew right overhead landing on 13L and it would have made a perfect shot if I'd had my bloody camera!!! The second time was last Wednesday, I flew out of JFK to FLL on N703TW (ex-TWA 757 w/ winglets) and we boarded by bus on the hardstand, and guess who else was hardstanded next to us. It was pitch black out though, so I guess I can only blame myself for not having my camera for that first shot. GRRR!!!

Now that my little rant is over, props to Luke & Gordon on those excellent shots!

What time Andy - I didn't think they were using the wingletted 752's to FLL - DAMN..I only just got my first new color scheme DL today - and all I see on Flightstats and Flightaware are MD-80's coming from JFK....

Hey Mark-

Unfortunately the only flight coming from JFK that is on the 757 is DL999 (which was DL1681 up until 12/1 which I flew on) which departs at 7:05PM and arrives at 10:50 PM. Unfortunately it won't be good for a shot at night, but I did look at the gate board for the gate's next flight and it showed the 6 something AM flight to Atlanta. You might be able to squeak enough light out at that time to catch a nice pic of her, if you can confirm that it will be an ex-TWA bird operating the flight the previous night.

Which bird did you catch in the new colors? I'm hoping to get some with you this Sunday!
