Were there really pink lights inside or is that just a photo quirk?
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

Nice grab, certainly some funky lights going on inside there.

Haven't had the time to venture out (too lazy) and get the one at JFK but here's a few of my Virgin America shots:

    A320 - N626VA

    A319 - N522VA

The pink lights remind me of the Emirates "mood lighting" which changes with the time zone throughout the flight to help reduce jet lag. Maybe VA ordered it for transcon....I thought it was a gimmick but I recently flew EK between JFK and Hamburg and between the lighting and the 600 channel on-demand entertainment system the flights seemed to go really quickly and I felt less jet lag than I usually do.

For those who haven't already heard, they're doing FAA proving runs so we should see it a few times in/out in the coming days/weeks.

I'm a little confused by the Virgin America thing. If it's doing proving runs, shouldn't they be MOVING, instead of just sitting at the hardstand for two weeks?

"Airbus Six Two Four Victor Alpha" is on short final for 22L.
My first time hearing something other than "Boeing"

Mario got a good shot of her the other day which is up on jetphotos. Looks like she is parked next to the Emirates A340-500 during the day.

    I like the wingtips.

I saw my first VA plane, N623VA for the first time at JFK, was parked there yesterday.

I'm running in the shower now so perhaps you can post a link to my jp pic.

    ciao.
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

Nice shot Mario, hopefully we'll see these VA aircraft at JFK on a regular basis.

Oh and I believe the "947" on the Evergreen tail is the U.S. Forest Service Fleet Number.

    Nice shot,
It took off just as I was getting there I can't win for losing.
When it came in before flight tracker didnt show me. The second time it arrived at night the third time I didn't know until it was too late.
