Overheard on JFK TOWER - S Turns are fine, U-Turns are bad....
One of the greats. Always sad when we no longer hear a familiar voice.
The "JFK Joker", Stephen Abraham, recently mentioned on frequency that he has 2 years left before retirement. He is the one responsible for all sorts of hijinx including odd accents, saying "farewell" in the language of the destination (French, Italian, and Bostonian seem to be his favorites), and frequent humorous quips.
