Sad PanAm Anniversary

Today sadly marks the 25th Anniversary of the bombing of PanAm Flight 103. 243 passengers plus flight crew and innocents on the ground perished. In 1988, I was teaching, one of my students, only 8 at the time, lost his dad, Anthony Hawkins, returning from the UK. I consoled him by making a copy of a photo I took the previous summer of "Maid of the Seas" just before touchdown on Rwy 22L. His mom said it was OK. I haven't spoken or seen him since, but I bet he still has the photo. So sad!
