    DTW 9-22

Sunday at Metro was about what one would expect for the most part, save for a few surprises (including a CLEAN Air France jet) and larger aircraft it was a parade of Delta CRJs. These were shot from a mounds-esque spot I found south of the airport which is great with landings on 4R in the afternoon.

That said, a nice sunny day (even if the clouds seemed to roll in at the worst possible times) with nice company made the trip worth it, even if tower decided to screw us over and send both of the Delta Triple 7s to the other runway after landing almost all the heavies on 4R. The epic move to a better spot for 4L came up short due to a train crossing, but such is life.

    Thanks for looking!

Not the same without NW bud. It's very sad. Nice shots.

Great set! And the AirFrance is surprisingly clean, so you get extra points for that.

It is sad indeed, especially when there's so little traffic besides AirCitgo.

Thanks for the extra point Don! Even if my lucky charm didn't bring me any true specials, a clean AF is probably more rare anyways, plus the BBJ wasn't exactly a bad catch either haha

    Thanks guys!

I've often drooled over the possibilities for photos at DTW. Particularly to get a tail line up shot of the DL aircraft on the main concourse or the DL Connection -200 tails along B/C concourse.

Keep em coming! I get out to DTW on occasion; here's one from yesterday evening (9/25) when LH sent a -600! I wasn't complaining.
