After some quiet time, I am comfortable with coming out as the survivor of this crash. Thank you for your well wishes. I am recovering slowly but surely and mostly just very sad. I was especially close with the younger victim of the crash and his death is just so unbelievably sad for me. The pilot was a very nice guy as well, he was a friend (only native Long Islander you would ever meet with a southern accent).

Evan, I had no idea you where onboard until I heard you on CBS 880 news radio this afternoon. I am so sorry you are having to go through this but I know your two friends are looking down and happy you survived. I strongly believe in the theory it was their time and not yours, and I hope this gift of surviving will inspire you even more to live your life to the fullest and live every day as if it is a gift. Hang in their Evan ! Ron aka LGA777

Glad you made it, Evan. I can't even imagine. Get well soon!
