    Transaero Upgrades DME-JFK to 777-300

According to airlineroute.net Transaero will be upgrading their DME-JFK flight from the 777-200 to their newly delivered, ex-Singapore 777-300. Effective February 27th the 777-300 will operate on Monday's, effective March 25th x247, and effective May 1st x2. I believe this will be JFK's first 777-300 service.

    UN1111 DME1100 – 1215JFK 773 x247
    UN2222 JFK1425 – 0730+1DME 773 x247

Service operates Day x2 starting 21MAY12

    From 27FEB12 to 24MAR12, 773 operates on Day 1

You mean first 777-300 for Transaero right? Cause there are quite a few 773's coming here already :-)

No; he's referring to the 777-300 regular (B773), instead of the 777-300ER (B77W). We get the latter. There were only 60 of the former made, most in service in Asia, and I don't think any operators serve North America w them.

you are right. mostly asians bought the 773, Korean Air, Singapore, JAL, Emirates, Cathay, and Thai.. Transaero purchased 773s from Singapore.. JFK will be the first in USA to have a non ER 773 service..

An unfortunate update on this plan:

However there is still the chance to catch the 777-300 on March 5, March 12, and March 19.
