    Mark, thanks... we miss you too. Yeah, the Qantas was made possible by the later sunset and a strong tail wind from the west. She came in super early compared to the usual late arrival ;-)

    I LOVE the Canarsie approach shots, hopefully my next visit to the old sod they will not be using the 31's exclusively.
    The beehive hummm of the JT9D and GE CF680C2,the thunder of the JT8D-17,the rumble of the PW1830 and the high ,thin whine of the PW 545A are all music to my ears!

    I agree. I love seeing Canarsie approach shots on here. I think I like them more than the shots of heavies banking on departure off 31L. I definitely hope that they use the Canarsie approach my next trip down.

    @Gonzalu - Thanks; I know being on the garage for anything except going to or from a car is highly frowned-upon. Figured it was either that or a suicide stop. Did one of the latter on Perimeter Road at MIA a few weeks ago to read off one of the cargo ramps on the SW corner.

    You guys catch some fantastic views....... Truely supurb pictures for the low light hours... Makes for great entertainment during my office lulls.
