Delta to Halt Nonstop Service from Bradley to Los Angeles

WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (AP/1010 WINS) -- Delta Air Lines says it will end direct, nonstop service between Bradley International Airport and Los Angeles this fall, the second time in two years.

Delta spokesman Anthony Black says the airline decided to eliminate the route as of Sept. 30 because passenger demand is expected to weaken in the coming months.

Delta resumed flying the Bradley-Los Angeles route last June. It cut a previous flight on the route on Sept. 30, 2008.

Black says Delta will still offer service to Los Angeles, but passengers will have to change planes at Detroit and Minneapolis.

Black said the airline will decide in November whether to offer the route again next year.
