Another operator suspends passenger service with 727

It seems that the Bolivian government has ground the Boeing 727s used by Aerosur for flights to US destinations. They were one of the last operators of 727-200 jets in regular passenger service. From what I understand it is due to safety concerns. I was lucky to photograph them twice:

I botched my shot of that particular ship, still shooting in the settings I used for History Under the Stars last year, but I was fortunate enough to catch this.

This is not true, it was still active doing the Cuba charters on memorial weekend when I was at MIA.

This 727 is hands down the most interesting aircraft that goes to Miami regularly. Would really be a shame to see it go (but that will happen eventually).

i knew we're not talking about a warbird or some generic bizjet (lol) but in case anyone here cares, this marks 2 years since Aerosur has been sending 727s to Miami. One of the very, very few passenger operations left with the legendary Boeing trijet in the world.
