    Germanwings Bearbus Livery A320 D-AKNO

Seems to be some sort of promotion for Berlin tourism or something, but I don't get the bear. Kind of cool, I guess.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

Hasn't that scheme been around forever? I do like it, however.

Yes it has been around a while. That airline has some of their A319s painted in schemes you'd never see over here. There was one all pink promoting t-mobile. Another was a crazy mosaic of colors announcing a hotel (my favorite). Both of those unfortunately now with Lufthansa painted in LH's boring eurowhite paint which makes those ugly little buses look like a plain guppy fish with a flashy tail.

Matt, that cool scheme will be 5 years old next month, and btw it is a 319, not 320, no criticism intended. It was one of several Germanwings acquired used from US, below is a photo I took in a familiar place from the same bird in a more conservative scheme a little over 5 years ago.

Looking at that reg again. D-AKNO is pretty close to D-ACNE.

    Just a deep random thought...
