Apparently a flap fairing canoe came off of one of the wings of an Atlas 744 on approach to MIA. I wonder if it just broke loose or perhaps someone had a little too much energy with the flaps deployed (doubtful). Either way, it landed in a parking lot off the field in Miami. No vehicle damage or personal injury has been reported on the incident. I would be intrested to hear some of the details on this incident as far as airspeeds, altitudes etc involved or whether it was just a case of fatiuge. Intresting none the less. Maybe Captain Shipley thought he was in a Mustang or somthing? :lol: Just kidding, no harm ment to the good Captain.
