    F18 Flyover at Noon

    From NotifyNYC:
Notification 1 sent 1/16/10 at 10 AM. A military flyover is scheduled for today at 12pm and will include 3 F18 jets. The flight path will be over Queens towards LaGuardia Airport.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

I got the same thing and came here to find out details if anyone had them. Could they have written that any more vaguely?

Not sure what they're here for, no sporting events this weekend. Maybe just some pilots coming up for the weekend.

If that the case is it SOP to notify or is it because of the paranoia from recent other flyovers which there
    were no notifications?
