Long Island Pilots May Still Face Trial After Brazilian Court Overturns Their Acquittal

A Brazilian court on Tuesday threw out another judge’s acquittal of two American pilots involved in the 2006 Gol Flight 1907 crash, which killed 154 people.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

Not really a shock here. The Brazilians are hell-bent on revenge, for these two. It's very unfortunate what happened, especially since they, of course, did not plan for this to happen. It's misguided justice, and thankfully these pilots are safe and sound in the US.

Non issue really, both pilots will never go back to Brazil or enter the airspace so Brazil can continue with whatever path it chooses. A wiser one would be to train it's ATC a bit better and not just use old military guys.

Justice in Brazil from my understandings of it are corrupted and biased anyway. Again, this is just my personal opinion and not ment to offend. Than again, the system in the USA could defineately use some serious tweaking too. These guys will never return to Brazil. It seems recently ties with the US and Brazil seem to get worse and worse yet we buy a ton of their export products. We better get freindly friendly because Brazil is going to very shortly start tapping what might be the biggest oil reserve on the planet in an area close to where AF 447 went down.
