DCA Terminal C Flooded, All US Airways Flights Canceled

    From Reagan National Airport website:

Terminal C at Reagan National Airport CLOSED--ALL US Airways flights cancelled tonight (updated Dec. 26 at 8 PM)
A major water pipe broke at Reagan National Airport today and is impacting US Airways passengers. Terminal C remains CLOSED and all US Airways flights are cancelled tonight. US Airways passengers with flights scheduled for tonight should call the airline at 800-428-4322 to rebook. US Airways passengers scheduled to fly Sunday morning should check directly with the airline in the morning before coming to the airport. Maintenance crews will remain onscene overnight working to clean up the water damage and restore electricity to the area. Other terminals in the airport are not impacted and other airlines airlines are operating normally tonight.

glad to hear it was just water, there were rumors that it was a sewer pipe last night. any word on the power outage?
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Terminal C at Reagan National Airport has reopened after flooding from a broken pipe Saturday 12/26/09.

US Airways is operating flights at the airport.

All early Sunday morning US Airways flights were cancelled until 10:00 a.m. EST

US Airways passengers scheduled to fly today, on Sunday, should visit the US Airways website or call the airline at 800-428-4322 to confirm their flight is still on schedule BEFORE coming to the airport.

We apologize for this inconvenience. Crews worked throughout the night to restore the flooded areas of Terminal C and return electrical service.
