    DC-9-15 N8860 TEB Pic

Almost Embarrassed to even bother to post this shot. N8860 DC95 was at TEB. Blasted fence got my my shot. It took off again before I was able to get back to the airport. If anyone wants to have a go and try to Photoshop out the fence on the plane by all means go for it. Its time like that when I wish I had a pickup truck.

Great catch, I have worked on that airplane in SRQ twice. Immaculate does not begin to describe it. Both pilots are ex TWA guys. That plane is kept pristine in every way. When you open the fueling panel on it even that is kept mint. The poundage gauges even are polished up on her. :borat:
Southwest Airlines-"Once it pop's it's time to stop" Southwest Airlines-"Our Shamu's are almost real" Southwest Airlines -"We blow our top real easy" Southwest Airlines- "You can't top us..... really"

senga, you did catch the beacon though
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

    Hiss,
Yea personally I like those dirty planes. If I had my own airliner that puppy would be super dirty. Grease smudges, old stains, and a classic soot stained tail cone. It would have so much dirt that you could see the gaps in between the planes skin. Nothing like a filthy weathered airliner I tell you.

    Matt,
Yes I got the beacon. That's really the best thing about the image too :/

    LOL

    1. the fence can be photoshopped Senga but is it really worth it? It's a DC-9 in a generic bizjet halloween costume(winnebago) as you call them haha

    2. the fence makes this plane interesting

    3. curious what the hippie cat avatar means, where did the planes go?

for me, that's 80% of the appeal...

    Mario,
Yes its worth it to me. To me I wouldn't consider this livery a Winnebago one as its is a solid livery and has a classic Airliners look to it. Green and Tan are not the most interesting combination of colors but I can't complain. If you can edit out the fence please do it for me. Work your magic.

The Rainbow Cat image has no meaning I just LOVE cats! :)

..you do have a point, I love green in airplanes and with a decent solid cheatline even better. Actually reminds me of a little airline called Emerald Air, which I captured at MCO with a grainy 110mm Disney camera back in '91. As a young buck I had zero idea about photography, sigh lol

editing that fence out will take time as I'm not a pro editing, but I'll give it a shot brother

The way I look at it is even though I may not like the colors or the livery is it it still tasteful and does it have character.
Here is a great example of a really boring DC-9 livery but it still looks VERY sharp.
