Niice. I didn't realize Austrian AND Alitalia bring in 76s these days.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

Nice shots, guys. I hadn't realized OS had already switched to the 763 again.

The soccer Jet Blue came in from IAD, I saw it depart.

So far, AF seems good, but I've had all sorts of trouble getting good, consistent results with evaluative/matrix metering. My exposures using it were all over the place, including pretty big differences in metering in the same sequence of shots (I normally shoot 2-5 frames per pass). Also, things seem to generally be underexposed by 1/3 to 2/3. All of this is pretty strange, since the 7D metering is supposed to be more accurate and consistent over its predecessors, yet I never had a problem with the 40D evaluative metering against blue skies. I had so much trouble that I had to switch to manual mode for the rest of the day, after I saw the inconsistencies. Hopefully it's user error, or it's something that can be/is corrected by firmware.

What settings (mode, exposure compensation, etc.) were you using out there?

Shutter priority, evaluative metering, no exposure comp. Here are some samples of the exposure differences:

I'm no pro, but I used to have similar difficulties when using shutter priority with several cameras. I started using Av mode at 8.0 instead and got much more consistent shots. Maybe something to consider.

I still like your shots though.

Thanks Phil. I might try Aperture priority, however I'd probably rather just shoot in manual since I like being able to set my shutter speed. I've posted my issue to dpreview: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/readf ... d=33336970 if anyone is interested in the 7D and wants to follow along and see if there is a solution.
