    Serpentine Airfield, Western Australia

    Gidday All,

Serpentine Airfield is a private field operated by the Sports Aircraft Builders Club (SABC) and is located south of Perth. Sunday 27th September 2009 an 'open day' was hosted by the club and an array of different airport where displayed. This is what I saw...hope you enjoy!

Wild stuff. My interest in aviation of course started with airlines at LGA growing up, but I see shots like this and it makes me want to hit the road. I love the sounds that planes like this make too. Keep it coming!

Great variety! Must ask about the Stearman. Are there many there? I have a belly shot of a Stearman in similar markings, flew over us in Singleton in June 2006. Perhaps its the same?
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

    Hi Guys,

Here's the next selection of images from Serpentine:

    19-5456 aircraft type unknown

    24-4784 Jabiru J 30

    VH-CXL DH-82 Tiger Moth

    VH-BTP DH-82 Tiger Moth (A17-744)

    VH-UBC Acroduster II SA 750

    VH-IWF Vari Eze

    VH-CHU Scottish Aviation SK-61 Bulldog Model 101 (61010)

    VH-FLC DHC-1 Chipmunk (WB792)

    VH-MLX Classic Aircraft Corporation Waco

    VH-CTL Cherokee 140

    VH-WOW Great Lakes Aircraft Company

Mirrodie: The Stearman lives 10 minutes flight time from Serpentine. It lives in the rural
suburb of Mundijong, I have seen only about a 4 or 5 Stearman's here in WA over the
years, they are a beautiful looking machine. I'll see if I can find out any more details
for you and let you know.

    Thanks for viewing! Hiflyer
