wow, nice work senga. i can't wait to see bent wings on the -200s!
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
WOW. I didn't know to expect it. Wild stuff.
Did you come across it by chance?

Now that's a big sexy! :borat:
Hi Phil,
No I knew it was there. However I didn't know it had winglets so that was a surprise I hate winglets.

You prefer a 767 without winglets?

Phil,
Yes I prefer all planes without winglets, raked wingtips and blended wings The only modified type I like are the older wing tip (Fences) that we see on A300s and A310s. Also I am a sucker for wintip farings that 747-100s and 200s have those things are just beautiful I am a sucker for those!
Unfortunatly wintips as I like them are a thing of the past.

To each his own, I guess. for the 767, I've just always found it to be a boring tube aircraft with no attractive features. The massive winglets give it something special at least to me.

I agree with you there about the 767 its a very boring aircraft with little offer visually. Also the gear not very attractive when extended. I can appreciate the B762 though because I like stocky aircraft like the B762, A310, B737-100/200 as examples.

Thats one nice looking plane. Great catch Senga! Who is this DHL 763 operated by if its from Europe. EAT comes to my mind. would they ever bring a 757 in the near future?
Sergio has been a huge Delta Air Lines fan since 1992!!

The aircraft was still parked at the DHL area today.
wow haha I'm happy to know there's another person out there who prefers the more decent looking wingtips of the past. Those 767 wingtip sails are obscene and make the 767 look like Dumbo. Trying to take a picture from inside the plane with those things in the way must be a nightmare LOLOriginally Posted by SengaB

I hate you...

Mayi757,
We are part of a very small brotherhood. To me winglets are like those kits and other devices/contraptions that people put on their cars and supe them up. In this case they serve a purpose to improve efficiency but they look very tacky and unnatural to me.
A Clean wingtip gives you so much more to look at.
One of my favorite wingtips is the ATR's
Tha'ts true those winglets to get in the way of shooting out of a plane.
Senga
Yes Senga, even though we are relatively young we're still old school enough and remember classics didn't need weird appendages to look properly 8) . I'm not even too excited about the 787 to be honest, but we should be glad they at least didn't fit it with gigantic winglets. I really like the classic 747 wingtips myself, too bad the 763 didn't get 767-400 style tips which look pretty good to me. But hey, many enjoy seeing airliners with gigantic winglets and that's cool too, everyone has different tastes.
The A320s might be getting huge 737NG-like winglets also, ugh  :D
