Man Shot at LGA; Police Say He May Have Been Targeted

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police were investigating Tuesday after a man who had just flown in from Las Vegas was shot in the chest at LaGuardia Airport last night.

The 26-year-old shooting victim was apparently shot outside the Delta-United terminal just before 11:30 p.m. Monday in front of several stunned taxi drivers who rushed to his aid, police said.

Police say they're looking into the possibility that the man was targeted.

He was taken to Elmhurst Hospital and is said to be in stable condition.

Police say they are looking for three suspects in connection with the shooting who fled the scene in a silver Pathfinder.

Shocker: Drug deal gone bad, four men arrested. Victim was actually shot in the car after meeting the suspects at the LaGuardia Marriott. He is expected to recover.

Note to criminals: As we can see by the quickness of the arrests, dumping a body on one of the most heavily watched pieces of land on the planet is a truly great idea.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
