I am surpised, considering the C-17 was here today...
If he using the C-32 or C-40 perhaps he will actually use LGA, very rare to have the actual AF1 call sign on our freqs.

That's probably why it was here.Originally Posted by mmedford

I remember one Saturday night when Bill Clinton came into the city unannounced on a visit and landed LGA/MAT.Originally Posted by LGA777
what i remember most about presidential visits to LGA is when Mr. W. Bush was here a couple years back. they were followed to the runway by PAPD ESU vehicles and probably had a 30kt ground speed just from the taxi. not every day do you see an airplane taxi to 31 that fast!
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
Looks like it will be JFK, approx arrival time 1600-1700L and departing approx 2230-2330L
Figures JFK stays pretty busy on Saturday afternoons while even with single runway ops LGA is so dead, out to off times currently about 3-8 mins.

Thats interesting. Wonder if by motorcade or Marine 1? He is going to a Broadway play. LGA makes more sense in regards to
time and traffic (not him, us).

Went walking at 4:30 and the 22s had been coming over my house and now I see a couple of them doing a circle over
my neighborhood.
Just saw a brief mention of the trip on the evening news, looked like they were boarding a Gulfstream at Andrews AFB.

I watched from the Brooklyn Bridge two Chinooks land from the northeast and then Marine One made the approach from the southeast and made a smooth landing on the pad. It was a cool sight to witness.Originally Posted by GothamSpotter

I think he took Marine 1 from JFK to the Wall St. Heliport and motorcaded up to the West Village where the Obamas dined. Now, what about Prince Harry's aircraft also on Saturday. A very busy day for security in NYC.
