One less DC-3 in the world.

Allthough fortunatly the crew and cargo loader escaped un-harmed SJU based Four-Star cargo lost a DC-3 yesterday, Sunday 4-26 in a odd accident. A cockpit fire developed on taxi out at SJU and the crew was unable to extenguish.

Check out the sad but wild photo of the aftermath at the bottom of the report.

That sure is sad to see, but glad that the crew got out safely.

That's sad to hear but at least the crew made it out of the incident alright. It's always a pleasure to see those Four Star 3's around SJU.

I caught her in SJU back in November:

What a sad piece of news :(

However, I want you to be reassured, our DC-3 (F-AZTE) is getting its turbines fixed for the meetings season ! This one is not gonna be grounded tomorrow ;)

Well this link is in French, but there are some great pics from the DC3 team (And you'll have a look of the new livery of Air France on the bottom of the page ;))
