DFW Spotting Review plus the C.R Smith Museum (Lots of Pics)

Last week I had to be in Dallas for biz but flew in early and spent some time at DFW's Founder's Plaza and took a visit to the American Airlines C.R Smith Museum. I was very impressed with the job DFW did with Founder's Plaza. Lots of parking, picnic tables, benches, overhangs to protect you from the sun.

As for the C.R Smith Museum it was well worth the visit and the history is awesome. I'd highly recommend a visit if you're on a long layover or in Dallas. A lay over of four hours or more you can easily pay it a visit. Below are some pics and video from last weekend.

Great shots, especially the MD-11 and the MD-80's

Nice review and shots Tom. Was just at the museum again last August at AI2008. We had a nice catered Texas BBQ dinner in front of the DC-3. While a little corny I always enjoy their IMAX like video, "The Spirit of American" the First Class DC-10 seats in the theater are always a treat to sit it.

Nice assortment! Looks like the typical dodgy Texas clouds were out
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

Great stuff. Founders Plaza looks like a great spot to. Right up there. Wish we had something like that around here...
