US Open In June

So this June 15-21 golfs US Open will be played at Bethpage and I wonder if we will have some interesting visitors ar FRG (and other area airports)? I think FRG will be the winner with its close proximity to Bethpage Black. I remember the last time stopping by the Terminal lot one evening and there were a number of copters parked on
the Terminal tarmac including Trumps S-76. There was a big reception that night for the tourney. And the State PD usually bring in a few copters to help out the Nassau guys.

With a few exceptions (Mickelson, Els, Norman) I would expect to see a larger number of NetJets & Flight Options aircraft. Dont forget, even with all his $$ Tiger flies with NetJets. If you were to waste the time looking up the fractional tail numbers, you will see a bunch of golfers listed as "co-owners" ie: fractional owners.

I hit HPN a few years ago when the Open was at Winged Foot, and there wasn't a ton of extra biz. The PGA has their own little fleet, but as of last year, Lefty, Els, Norman, Arnold Palmer, and Sergio Garcia were the only ones with their own rides. They just don't fly often enough to make it cost effective to own their own full-time jets.
