DOT--SWA Largest Airline for 2008, passengers carried.

    DOT Ranking
The Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics recently ranked Southwest Airlines as the top airline in terms of number of passengers. The DOT stated that Southwest flew more Passengers in 2008 than any other airline.

This had to be done before October, before NW/DL merged? Also, is this for World or USA? Since WN had the title for both in 2007.

If you're on a flight that goes BWI-MDW-STL-LAS, do you count as 1 passenger, or do you count as 3 - 1 per segment?

You count as one. DOT and SWA count ONE boarding pass as One passenger for BWI-LAS since that is all that is printed on your boarding pass. If you changed aircrafts, this also "change boarding pass" you are then counted as two seperate passengers.
