Neat. What's with the ginormous reg?
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

    I dig.
After that second photo I dig it a lot, Beautiful scheme. You guys notice in the second photo how reflective the lower grey area is? The piano keys are very visible in both the front and back of the aircraft. And that has to be the biggest reg I have ever seen, nice.

Do any of our European friends on here have any idea if this particuliar A-320 has any significane or why it was chosen? At C/N 063 and being around 20 years old it might not stay in the fleet that long, and a lot of these schemes last around 5 years so just surprised they did not pick another aircraft. I don't know about you guys but a 777-300ER sure would look sweet in that scheme.

    Cheers

Re: Air France joins the Euro Retro Scheme Bandwagen

Its a shame, (for us in the USA anyway) that those European airlines have all chosen baby Airbus aircraft to carry those schemes. Just prior to "911" Luftansa had reportedly been planning a retro scheme on an A340.

As for US airlines, American, Delta and US Airways have all given us retro schemes. Would be nice if Continental would reach back to the 1960s for one though...

Speaking of which, whatever happened to United's plan to put retro schemes on a 777 and 747?
