That particular EK B744F is no longer flying for Emirates , It's back in Atlas colors as of about mid Feb.

TMA also brought in classic 747s with the same scheme, the last CL44 i saw at JFK ,was a freighter for a company called AER (Argentina) back in the late 70's,the last 707 i saw at Jfk was a Varig Log freighter back in '87, for a brief period in '94 IFL group flew a bunch of sorties into Kennedy with a motley assortment of DC-3C tramp freighters, I was among those happy few,and dare I say it nearly had a tear in my eye, flying the pivot turn on the Canarsie approach in the lovely, old Douglas, over the old sod, fulfilling a dream I had since i was a kid.
The beehive hummm of the JT9D and GE CF680C2,the thunder of the JT8D-17,the rumble of the PW1830 and the high ,thin whine of the PW 545A are all music to my ears!
to get back to the thread remember Airlift Intl, and their dirty DC8s and 727s?.Their ships looked like they were flown hard and put away wet. One other Cargo line I would like to see again good old Alitalia cargo 747 Classics.

I misinterpreted the thread and instead thought Sergio was asking which cargo airlines would you like to see at JFK.
Since the topic is about past visitors I'd like to see Polar Air Cargo 747s back at JFK again as well as the Saudi Cargo MD-11F, Korean Air Cargo MD-11F, and Lufthansa Cargo 747-200F.
Here's the Alitalia Cargo (Atlas) 747 for you, Sergio:

That was actually the AZ - inhouse freighter. Atlas operated 3 B747's over the years , including a -400
N409MC
[airliners29381[/airlinersN535MC
[airliners02026[/airlinersN536MC
[airliners:1ecb9]0782713[/airliners:1ecb9]
the last one i saw in full house colors was 2003, i believe it was AZ,not atlas flying for az.

Idle some of the Evergreen 747s were PanAm....so you can sort of pretend they are PanAm ;)Originally Posted by T-Bird76

Polar's B744 will be making a return to JFK on a 5 night a week basis starting next week ( last week of Oct ). Unfortunately it's scheduled to arrive and depart under the cover of darkness.Originally Posted by DHG750R
