    Delta to Discontinue JFK-BOM

With Delta inaugurating daily ATL-BOM flights on November 1st they will be pulling JFK-BOM due to the lack of sufficient airframes needed to fly the route. JFK-BOM still appears in the schedule after November 1st but expect that date as the discontinuation date.

When more -200LR aircraft arrive Delta hopes to restart the flight.

Could it be because there's too much capacity coming out of JFK to India? If the route was working for them I can't see why they would drop it. Look at Jet; they went from a 777 to an A330, that's a big cut in capacity. AI rules the Indian routes out of JFK with what 3 flights a day to India?

Yeah, I was thinking along the lines of what Tommy is saying. If the JFK-BOM route was profitable for DL, I can't imagine them stopping it to start a new, yet untested route out of ATL.
