Those two reporters are arguing to no one.
Yeah, they're pretty dumb. Something interesting to think about, but I'm not convinced at all. Just because an exhaustive search has not produced any clues does not mean it didn't happen. If he crashed, he did it in some of the most rugged terrain on the continent, and he was in a small plane which could be hidden by trees or maybe he sunk into a remote lake somewhere.
