Air delays cost city 3B: Chuck Schumer

Flight delays aren't just giving travelers agita, they're also giving the city a financial headache, causing more than $3 billion in losses to the local economy, according to a new report.
"When a plane is sitting on the runway or circling in the sky for hours on end, it isn't only burning time and fuel, it's burning money," said Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), chairman of the Joint Economic Committee.
The senator released a report Sunday showing flight delays cost the nation about $41 billion last year. [Full Article]
