    F22 Raptor ISP Arrival...in the rain :(

It was raining lightly, and the dark clouds made for really challenging conditions, but you wanted Raptor shots, you got 'em.

    Lots of rain - grrrrrrr!

    Wild looking sky

    A friendly wave

Pretty damn nice despite the rain. Without the clouds you probably wouldn't have caught the burners.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

Very nice, John! Love that you caught the burners on those two shots.

John GREAT PICS!! Man really cool to see! I'm not a huge military fan but there is something about the F22 that I just love.

and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

When the announcer says the demo birds are just regular line aircraft, they're not kidding! Last week at Andrews, 04-4071 was the demo, and 04-4069 was the spare. It's not like the A-10 or F-15 teams, where it's usually the same two jets that show up. Incidentally, can you tell the serial of the 1OG boss bird? It was -4071 at last year's Langley show, but has apparently been repainted into normal markings now. I can tell it's an 03- fiscal, but the posted pic is just too small.

Just saw "Iron Man" last night (GREAT flick BTW) and the Raptors have a big scene in the movie. Mostly CGI i would guess but still pretty cool.

Back from the airshow and the Raptor was a BIG hit with the crowd judging from the people around me. WOW!! What an awesome jet!!
And the Flight of Two flyby with the P-51 gave me chills the way they flew so close, the past with the future (present). I hope someone
has a picture or two of that flyby.
