    Second 787 Enters Final Assembly

Boeing has announced its second 787 has begun the final stage of construction. This comes a couple of days after it was revealed the mid-fuselage section, built by a supplier in South Carolina and transported to Washington on the Dreamlifter, was in a more completed state than the one built for the first 787. The shortcomings of finishing the section on that first copy are at the epicenter of the nine month delay of the program.

Including all 787 suppliers around the world, there are now 21 Dreamliners in various stages of construction.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

that is an awesome pic! love the lines on that airplane...
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
